avatar and signature

how do i put a good pic in my avatar b/c avery time i try to it says the image is too large. i don't think you have to be a vip right? is there a program to make a pic fit? Also i would like to put this (http://tengusoft.free.fr/flies.gif) in my signature but it does not seem to fit either.
Help!

Resize the picture for the Avi. As for the sig, I'm not too sure.

actually i think ive done this but the pic was so small. how did u get ur pic on there its the size i want?

Go into photoshop and click edit>Image adjustments>image size>resize> then just put it at the appropriate size. If you can't get it, Ask GG1, he's good with photoshop and paint.
