Hi Jorn,
I think there has been a total of 3 people banned and that was for basically creating threads calling me every name in the book :)
Mango = eroc so he was banned.
As for the "BIG" changes, well there really isn't any but don't tell everyone else that because they would have you think the sky is falling.
As for stricter rules, well there aren't really. Its actually just someone enforcing the ones that were already in the MOD forum.
I closed the thread miniduck made because I believe it was the 4th he created trying to see where you could go to find the guys that just can't handle that BBD is owned by someone else. I told him that so it was a dead issue. Its also in the new owners thread I created.
One thing that will be enforced is that the policies made here will be decided by the ADMIN/MOD staff and not up for debate or be influenced by what a small click of people want. Rules are created and enforced for the whole community, not what some little click that posts 1000 times a days wants. Are people going to pissed? Of course. People don't like change especially when they are comfortable but that life.
For the most part jorn, nothing has really changed all that much. People have the choice to accept it, go on with their lives or they can join Pain as his new board and get their daily drama since it seems that's what they enjoy. I simply don't have time for kids that have nothing better to do than bitch and moan about the huge changes that have gone on here because as you have seen, the board as a whole hasn't change all that much. I think I separated the supplement and nutrition section, enforced the "hardcore" issue that was already in the mod forum when I arrived, made the training logs public and that's about it. Oh I changed some ads around so that there isn't a million affiliate links either. I created the new skin for VIP with no ads, fixed a lot of errors within the board...and that's off the top of my head. The big difference is the people who just couldn't handle Pain not owning the board are leaving and that's just fine by me. When Pain decides to sell his new board after it grows a bit maybe they can scream and rant at the new owner of that board as well. Pain sold the board to me who thinks this place has the potential be something much more than it is.
I would say the plans I have for the board in the long run will effects those members that can abide by some simple rules. More influential people in the industry will come here because of a cleaned up environment, more companies will sponsor because as you have seen not too many were here for a reason :) More discounts for members, more freebies, more products to test out for companies, more gurus given you the facts (or their version of it), etc..
Pretty much what most people want who join a bodybuilding board want without the drama BS you see as some of the other boards.
If you are respectful of other members and more important the people who run the place, you will never have a problem. Its pretty simple, if you act like a child you will be treated as such. If not, you won't have a problem at all.
For the most part people simply won't care who runs the board. You have a a click of friends who have been here with the owner form the beginning and no matter what you say or do they simply won't accept you as a new owner. That's fine. 99% of the other people (since their are 19k+ members) just want to exchange information, learn, read and interact with other bb'ers and don't care what rules are set because for the most part they are easy to follow.
The PM's hopefully will be fixed shortly as well as some other functions.
