Could be done with a virtual server, a second instance of a webserver. Like having two copies of notepad open at the same time.
It's also how webhosting companies are able to provide service to so many websites simultaneously ...... unless you pay more for a dedicated website.
But yes a mirrored website on a different physical server would be better as it offers the possibilityof redundancy or traffic management. A bit harder to update in realtime though. It's something that will become necessary when the average user requests get's too high for the current setup.
