I've tried NAIR, shaving, and self waxing (with those strips that come with wax already on them). Seems like no matter what I do I always get bumps on my skin. I guess my skin is just very sensitive. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone suggest a good process for hair removal that will at least lessen, if not eliminate, this problem?

Thanks in advance.

this is gonna sound stupid but...shave more often. i meen, keep all your body hair off all the time. eventually the skin will get used to it and it wont get ingorwn hairs anymore.

i had to do it with my legs.

You should try real wax like Gigi if you want to do it yourself, or go with a sugar-wax like moom. I've used both... the sugar ones are usually good enough, unless your hair is really in there good (pubic hair).

Rub alcohol on your skin on the area after you wax and it will help with those little bumps.

I have tried different razors and different shaving cream (including the kind made for "sensitive skin") with no luck.

I have never heard of "veet" but I will look for it.

I will try to shave more often but I've found in the past that it simply leads to developing razor burn faster and I refuse to shave over razor burn. I'm afraid of scarring my skin.

Next time I wax I'll look for the type of wax you spread on first then let dry and peel off.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Why does something so simple have to be so complicated! At least I'm not alone.

I would make sure you put on lotion after the hair removal as well. Good luck! :Banane21:

I always do. Smother the area in the wipes that the wax kit provides and I put on aloe vera and other stuff.

If you keep having this same problem I would suggest using an oil called Shave Secret it is in a very small squirt bottle and you can put it on before you put any kind of shaving cream on.... then buy some bump stopper 2... This is made specifically on razor burn but you have to apply it everyday to problem areas.....plus dont put lotion on right afterwards because your pores are still wide open and lotion may get in them and irritate your skin even more ...

Bump Stopper 2 is a great product at least for the face it clears shaving bumps after 3days. Veet irrarted my skin but might work for you. I used Electric Shave and a beard razor and it got pretty close and didnt bother my skin very much
