Absolutely spot on! the amount of guys who start taking advice from here and there and end up totally messed up!
Its hard enough when your cognitive functioning is fuelled by lots of food, when your low on carbs you need to stick to one directive!
The guy you chose to help was good enough at the start of your prep, so see it rhough all the way with one person!
Don't forget your prep if you have to travel, make suee you have someone who will sort out with you what you need!
Have two pairs of trunks, two tapes of music, some strands or weights to pump up with and spare tan.
Make sure you know the rules of the federation you are competing with.
Arrive early and RELAX and elevate your feet !
Know when your on and allow enough time to get back stage to pump up adequately but not over pump.
take a bottle of water with you to leave at the side of the stage( its hot out there and your mouth gets dry as hell)
If your staying over night, take a fan with you in case the room does not have good air conditining, the last thing you want to do is heat your temp up so it starts to
retain water.
Look confident but not arrogant on stage!
Listen clearly to instructions, take your time getting into the poses( think : pose everything right from your calf up on each and every pose)
try to hit the pose slightly behind your fellow competitors, so that your pose is at its peak !
Lastly: remember this sport is subjective and political, so no matter wht the result, take it with dignity, Judges will always find out who has kicked off back stage and its does go against you. Far better to get some constructive critism later from the judges.
Lastly enjoy the experience, you have successfully( regardless of the result) put your body through weeks of intensive training and diet, so no matter where you pace you have done something many people never achieve, so be very proud and smile to the audience, show them the result of all your hard work!
