I have my contest set up to september, and im having serious pain in my left shoulder, i cant even press for chest or cannot even think about training delts...
I used Ben-Gay (however u spell it dont laugh) some chinese thing u put and it makes the place warm and boiling but it didnt help much...

Should i take a week off and do only aerobics?

please help me

you have two options....

A) Train around the injury and do that show

B) choose a later show and take some time off.

I would choose A, i hurt my shoulder a little at 4 weeks out and trained around it. the only thing i couldnt so was pulldowns though. you not being able to train chest and shoulders will cause some problems. i would try to work around it as best you can. lighten the weight if you have to, but dont stop training, at 4 weeks out that would kill you.

Wow, good luck on your show bro. I hope you make it through. If it gets too bad, put your health first. You don't want to get an even worse injury, so decide very carefully and good luck to you in whatever decision you make.

true StayBig put youre health first. dont try to make it worse. you got 1 pair of schoulders thats all for youre whole life. There will always be shows, its youre body so you have to decide what you think is best for you.

Thanks a bunch guys, i tried to rest a little (i worked so i couldnt train anyway) and tomorrow ill do legs i hope after this weekend ill feel better, and gumby ur right i cant even press for chest any pressing move kills me with pain, i hope it will get better...

if you can lighted the weight and still train some chest and shoulders then i think you should do that. if the pain is too bad for that, then choose a later show.

i have the same exact injury, i havent been able to do chest for over a month
