ok, as the title says im a newbie. so excuse my ignorance.

i plan on compeating in my first bodybuilding competition next year. so, im doing kind of a "crash corse cutting year", just to see how my body reacts to different diets and workouts.

i started cutting on April 1st at ~245lbs. im 215 now (June 26th) and id like to be down to 200lbs by July 26th (my unofficial contest day).

so heres my plan.

water retention- july 22nd, 2 gal
july 23ed, 1 gal
july 24th, 2 qts.
july 25th, 1 qt.
july 26th, 8oz

carb loading- july 22nd, 100 carbs
july 23ed, 150 crabs
july 24th, 200 carbs
july 25th, 300 carbs
july 26th, 400 carbs <--?????

am i doing this right? what do i need to change? ANY input would be great! thanks yall

While you add in water, you need to add in Sodium as well. For that schedule, the first 2 days I'd recommend at least 10-12 shakes of salt per meal. 0 salt on Thursday for sure. Also, as far as carb loading is concerned, it really depends on how you feel and your body type. You might want to be 50-75g of carbs all the way from Saturday to Thursday and not start carbing up until Thursday night or Friday.

=edit* Oh I didn't notice the dates. All BB comps in the states are on Saturdays, so you'll want to adjust your schedule accordingly. From Sunday to Wednesday you drink as much as you can, at least 2 gallons with 10-12 shakes of salt at every meal. Thursday til comp day is 0 salt. Thursday is 1/2 gallon of water, Friday is 1 quart and Saturday (comp day) is only sips.

All your water and salt are spread out evenly. Also with carbs you want to even it out amongst your first few meals of the day. No carbs in the evening.
