To do this properly takes many months of planning and is dependent condition you are in now. I would therefore leave this comp to one side and carry on with the process of gaining size and look for a comp maybe in six months time. This way you can prepare yourself physically and mentally for a diet of maybe between 12- 20 weeks ( dependent on your starting condition)
The first few weeks would look at streamlining my diet to a more structured plan of low complex carbs, higher protein and good fats as astart fo point. Your carbs start off point is once again dependent on what your bf is at the start. Figures of protein intake and carbs I will have to generalise with but to start off I will use 200 carbs, 300 proten, good fats 5-6%, I will do this for between 4-6 days then have a high carb day of about 5oo carbs and 200 protein to stop the body going into starvation mode, cardio will, begin at 30 mins rising to an hour and towards the end of the diet if needed I will go down to as low as 100 carb day once a week, but still throw in an hugh carb day. Week of the show, I will stay low carbs for 3 days and begin " carbing up" on day 4, Personally I will use 2x1200 carbs day, the 6th day 600 carbs and day of the show, good breakfast( fast and complex carbs) followed by 50 carbs ever 2 hrs, 15-20 mins before you go on 100-200 fast acting carbs.
There are many guys who compete on here and we will all have our own unique ways, so look around at Laynes and others but choose one method and stick to it as if you dont it all gets over complicated. If it doesnt suit you, adjust a little, to you find your own unique approach, jim
