Hi folks im preparing for a local bbing contest at 2 1/2 months out

Is it really necessary to go low carb for a contest to get shredded?cuz I think the only thing that matters is a SLIGHT CALORIE DEFICIT and go from there ..I started my prep one week ago and at this moment I lost 2 lb(cuz the 1st weeks u also lose water )

*weight=215.6 lb bf =15 % more
* Cal maintenance level=3234 -300(deficit)=2934 Cal
*prot 40%,carb40%,fat20%,7 meals a day
*Carbs on each meal except on the last one or 2 meals at night
*Only low GI carbs and only high GI after training

supplements:
*whey protein
*creatine
*Lg sciences liquid masterdrol&Slin(insulin potenciator)
-fat burner: not yet (thinkin in a good one )

Training = 5 days/week
cardio=4 days/week of brief HIIT after training

you haven't got long to diet either so i would recommend cutting 500cals from your daily intake instead of 300

Read Layne pre-contest article 5 times and then hire him. Seriously. Look at Tommy Jeffers condition: Bodybuilding.com - Inside The Life Of A Natural Pro - Layne Norton, Episode 15 - Competition Day, Part 2.

I'm currently training for the Southern USA level 5 national qual april 19th and the Gateway level 4 on the 26th and I've went from 227 to 190 so far since startn my diet on jan 4th=my point being- there is nooo way i could have lost that much fat/weight just by cutting calories-you need to get serious ifyou only have 10 weeks-carbs need to be around 175-190 thats it. You also need to up your training to 6 days and cardio 6 aswell. 45 min cardio upon waking on empty stomach and 30 after workout. If your body fat is 15% as you say- you have alot of ground to make up in a short amount of time.
post some pictures and let me how you look if you get sum time. good luck.
