Below is a method of "drying out" that some may find interesting. I have used it personally with great success. I have given this to several others who had equal success.. The good thing about this method is that you actually increase your water as you get to show day. I had no cramps whatsoever on stage.

Carb deplteing/loading final week before showtime:

Day 7 from the show:
• Half all carbs from the previous week
• Add an extra 8oz turkey breast to your protein intake
• Drink 3 litres of water per day (Evian)
• 2gm Vitamin C (vit c acts as a diuretic in large doses)

Day 6:
• Same as day 7 but 4 litres of water

Day 5:
• Same as above but with 5 litres

Day 4:
• 6 litres of water
• 1 baked potato every hour from waking till bedtime
• 3gm Vitamin C
• 4 8oz turkey breasts for today’s total protein intake
• 3 bananas (for potassium)

Day 3:
• 6 Litres of water
• 4gm Vitamin C
• 1 baked potato every 1-2 hours
• 4 8oz turkey breasts only for protein intake
• 3 bananas

Day 2:
The day before the show:
• 8 litres of water
• 10gm vitamin C
• 1 baked potato every 2 hours up till noon. You should be carbed up by now, just leaving the finishing touches of drying out
• From noon all you eat is protein. 8oz turkey breast every 3 hours
• 3 bananas
• Have a ½ pound of lean fillet steak last thing at night

Show day:
Water: Cut back to 3 litres for the day. You will be used to expelling large amounts of water. This mechanism will continue through the day and therefore dry you out when you reduce your water intake. DO NOT STOP DRINKING WATER AT ANY STAGE!
• 10gm Vitamin C
• ½ pound of fillet steak for breakfast then 8oz turkey breast every 3 hours
• 1-2 hrs before going on stage drink ½ glass of brandy. The alcohol will act as a diuretic also. Mix the brandy with orange juice and honey if you like.
