So at first I got into this forum just because I was mainly looking at lifting and seeing what other people do. I just wanted to look good, not perfect. Well in the last week or so, my views have totally changed, I want to look perfect. I want to compete, and I want to win. I've got my training, nutrition, everything under control except 1 aspect. WHERE can I compete ? I've looked into the NABBA, is that a good amatuer league? Will I step on stage and be totally out-classed by those who are not amatuers? Let me know where a good place to start is, I'm really looking forward to it.

It's amazing how my workouts have gone from "a trip to the gym" to "sculpt perfection" just with me saying to myself that I am a bodybuilder.

I also wanted to ask, how long did it take you guys to go from the "I want to compete" to "I have a show tomorrow"? I've been a gym rat for almost 2 years, now that I'm hitting it much more hardcore, I think I'd be ready to compete by the end of 2008, maybe early 2009. That's only estimating, as I'm terrified of getting on a stage and looking like crap.

Thanks in advance for the feedback!!

Also, real quick, I forgot to say I live on the east coast. I'd prefer a show in/near Pennsylvania/Delaware.

Hmm, I see a collegiate meet in Pittsburgh, but looking at eligibility, it says you have to have competed in atleast 1 of ANY other NPC show. So I'm out for that.

*edit- Also I am no longer in school, so therefor cannot compete in a collegiate competition.

Right now I'm 6 foot and about 210 lbs. 2 months into a strict diet, I'm up from 195 lbs. Sitting in a "hard" state at around 15% BF. I have some pics from about a year ago, I can get pics taken this evening for comparison.

But really I'm just looking for competition help and pointers in this thread, if I put up pics it will be in that discussion area.
