I wouldnt bother with it. you will be drinking so much water when carb depleting that it wont matter. the only time when you need to worry about dropping a ton of water is 3 days before the show. thats when you start to cut down on water intake.

sauna's are really good for relaxing the muscles after a workout and allowing them to grow. Pretty much does same thing as stretching.

saunas are great for your skin and relaxation

as for losing water weight, it would be pretty pointless unless you are preparing for a show or making weight for something (wrestling, fighting, etc)

So if I get it right, saunas only help to reduce waterweight and not your real bodyfat?
And do they really great fot your skin and affect mucsle growth? What's the ideal period to stay in one for these effects? And how many times a week you guys suggest?

Saunas should NOT be used for water reduction... while you think they'd be great because after you get out of one you're nice and tight and vascular... for a half hour or so... and then your body starts to bring the water back to the surface and whamo... you're now smooth.

Unless you have one backstage and can jump out of it right onto the stage forget consider using it for water loss... it'll do more damage than good.

it don't help to reduce you're bodyfat. you can get a better blood stream to the muscle going into the sauna. i only go in the sauna once a week on friday after my wrokout to relax.

I use the wooden walls in the suana to heal muscles that are sore. You should try it, it works really good! You don't lose any bodyfat in a suana. You would probably lose bodyfat in the exact opposite,... If you were in a freezer for a long time and your body had to fight to stay warm and burn calories...

Exactly. Some athletes also use preparation-H to spot reduce bodyfat. They apply it before going into a tanning bed. Yes, this removes water like nothing else, but it will come back twice as bad within the hour. So unless you have a tanning bed backstage, good luck.

You're a pretty smart guy.

Most people think that buy being in a hot environment and sweating that they are shedding bodyfat, while they are doing the opposite. If you are cold, your body temperature will naturally try to rise to fight the cold.

Cold showers, keeping the house cool, dressing in loose clothing and so on will help to burn bodyfat. The only time I recommend it to be hot is when you are working out to help warm up your muscles to prevent injuries.
