what up folks ..I learned that in the final 2 weeks before a contest aka "depletion phase" ..that some supplements must be removed ,including protein shakes ..and only sticking with chicken breasts and that stuff ..but im taking ISOPURE ZERO CARB w/water...Im not trying to promote brands but that supplement has a green light or a red light to go through final depletion?

I would say green light, but I have only been doing this for 27 years.

yeah man ,u convinced me ..and I recently read a chris aceto's books which he is a fuc*ing genious cuz he has prepared plenty of pro bbuilders during his entire career and he reccomends to take whey protein w water/..except for a couple of days prior competition cuz u dont want to screw up the water shed with sodium

great reply from jude, i'd also check out a natural diuretic too, like taraxatone or water shed by absolute nutrition...it works wonders

my theory...

IF YOU LOOK MONEY 2 WEEKS OUT, WHY CHANGE A DAMN THING!!! people over think the entire prep phase. go with what is making you look good. I don't like to deplete carbs to complete 0, because as a natural bodybuilder and a naturally lean guy it is extremely hard for me to fill back up from the complete depletion.

I would stay to stick with protein shakes and whatever other supplements you are using if you are looking good.

We are all different mate, I try to use food as much as poss but used a protein supplement after workouts and sometimes through the day if I had to. Its all very well for pros to write this sort of thing but when your working a 12 hr shift, training, trying to have a family life, you dont always get time tom prepare 3 or 4 meals, so I substituted sometimes with a proten drink and I stil came in at 2% Bf> So if your doing more than one show, experiment, if youre down to the bone, how much can it harm you. The spanish guys on the day of the universe were eating roiund after round of toast with jam, the british guys kept mainly to a cooked breakfast, next time Im eating the toast and jam!
