Lets see. Ive been cutting for about 5 months now and got about 3 weeks left before I take a quick breake. I will probably go for the stage this year, but thats not untill october so I got plenty of time. Im not planning on continuing my diet untill the show without a break though. That is just too much for my body too handle. But like I said, I got plenty of time. I guess Im about 10% in bodyfat right now. Anyways, Im really starting to feel the pressure now. I dont eat a lot of carbs so my blood pressure is really low, and I have a hard time staying positive and focused. Things are begining to annoy me and piss me off and so on... So I was thinking. What if I upped the carbs a little so that my blood pressure is more stabilizied, and I can get a lot more focused. It would probably help with the motivation to do cardio as well. Im not speaking of much carbs here, more like 20g brown rice to each meal etc.

Here is what I basicly eat these days:

Breakfest: 30g of oatmeal, 50g ON`s 100% Whey/12 eggwhites (every other day), green tea, 2 ts of fish oil, 1 multi vitamin

Meal 2: 250g of salmon, a lot of iceberg salad

Meal 3: 250g of salmon, a lot of iceberg salad or 1 apple

Meal 4 (pre workout): 30g of oatmeal, 50g ON`s 100% Whey, green tea

*Training*

Meal 5 (post workout): 5 ricecakes, 50g ON`s 100% Whey

Meal 6: half chicken breast, a lot of broccoli/vegetables

Meal 7: 100g of tunafish, 2 ts of linseed oil

I also dring a whole lot of water through out the day. As for cardio I do 1 hour fast walking before breakfest or 30 min after working out. The reason I dont eat that much carbs is because I am carb sensetiv.

So what do you think? Should I try up my carbs a bit and get a more stabilized blood sugar, or should I just get my shit togheter and handle the sweet missery?

Maybe carb cycling would be more appropriate. I dont think its healthy for the body to go 6 days with 4 of them being hard/heavy workouts and uum 5-6 days of cardio included with a really low carb diet. I can really feel my body craves more energy/glucose than I am giving it. I have only one high carb day each week, and that is saturday which I eat whatever I want. Well, I guess thats it. Let me know what you think.

Any help would be gratefull.

Thanks!

Honestly bro this is exactly how it will be when you get ready for your contsest so suck it up. If it were easy than everyone would be doing it!! Since you dont plan on competing until October when are you going to start your prep? Most people do 12-16 weeks so that ould put you starting this month or next. I would carb cycle and see how your body reacts, it worked great for me. In the last couple of weeks I went down to less than 50 carbs per day and it sucked but I looked good!!! Anyways good luck and let me know if you have more questions.

Yeah, bro I know, but the thing is I feel that things are beginning to get "sucky" a little too early. I dont know my exact bodyfat %, but it cant be much less than 10%. My buddy says its less, but Im not so sure of it. Anyways, Ive been dieting for about 20-22 weeks now, and got about two weeks left. I think its fair to say I deserve 1-2 weeks rest from dieting before I continue towards the show (agreed?). That would make about 8 weeks left untill the show and that should be more than enough. I should be able to cruise in. But hey, nothing is decided yet. I dont know if I have the mental power to hit 4-5% in bodyfat. Staying postive has proven to be very, VERY hard the last week.

Next week Im going to try carb cycling. Something like this:

Monday: Legs (med carb day)
Tuesday: Chest/Shoulders (med carb day)
Wensday: Rest (low carb day)
Thirsday: Back/Abs (med carb day)
Friday: Arms (med carb day)
Saturday: Rest (High carb day)
Sunday: Rest (low carb day)

=

2 low carb days, 4 med carb days, 1 high carb day

I will also try to hit 1 hour cardio every morning. Last week I only did two cardio sessions in the morning and for the rest of the week I did 30 min after training.

I would go ahead and do some carbs this week man.Lets see some pics of you.If you are close then 6-8 weeks would suffice to be ready. Its really the last 3 weeks that will be bad.About 4 weeks out you cut the carbs back a little then maybe 2 - 21/2 weeks you cut them back to about 60 grams sense you say you are carb sensitive.i am too and people said for me to get a few more carbs but i was scared to try it.Also about 2 weeks out you have to cut out the protien shakes and chicken because of the sodium.Replace it with fish, whiting or salmon baked of course.be drinking pleant of water cause about 3 days out you need to stop it too.Drink just enough after you eat that you dont choke. Its so hard on the body I have taken the day before the contest off work the last 2 shows. The last wek you really dont work out that much anyway so energy isnt that big of a deal.Just doing light cardio and maybe sitting in a sauna.

Hi guys!

Not much has changed. I should of figured... I always just go by "feel" anyway. ANYWAY! This week has been quite good so far. No heavy days if you know what I mean. Hope it stays that way as well, I guess some weeks is just tougher than others. The body goes through constant change so its clearly its having some difficulties dealing with the pressure it is given from time to time. Allright, I`ll write more when the week is over.

Hey guys im fairly new to the actual competing side of bodybuilding having come from rugby union, and being in australia we dont have the same sorta foods i noticed as you guys do, nevertheless i plan to compete not this year but next year as i want plenty of time to bring up lagging bodyparts as my coach has pointed out. My question is this; eating at my stage im looking to increase muscle mass yes however i want to keep the weight down so im more leaning up and putting on quality muscle mass rather than going from one extreme to the other (ie huge and flabby to ripped and toned) so i was wondering if there was some advice out there about how i can go about this

many thanks

TyrVadir
