Hi!

21 year old "bodybuilder" from Norway here.

Ive been cutting for 4 months now, got about 1 month left, but Ive realized that Im a bit behind schedule. Im prepearing for a internet picture contest and Im going to take som professional pictures in a studio. But heres the thing/problem:

How should I carb up before the picture shooting?

I figuere Im not going to be ripped, only defined, and Im scared that if I carb up too much, I will just get bloated real quickly.

I thought maybe I should just contiune with the low carb untill a half hour before the photo shoot. Then I will eat a couple of ricecakes with jelly on or something.

Or

should I just carb up from the beggining of the morning and check the status in the mirror several times? Maybe I should just go with a minimum of carbs to each meal just to be safe? I dont wanna come out flat either, you know so this is difficult for me.

What do you think? I would appriciate some answers from guys with experience about this subject, because this is my first time doing it, and I just dont want to screw it up, heh!

Thanks alot.

Man.... your asking for an answer to an equation that is different for everyone. Keep in mind it is always better to go in a lil flat than to load too much. Once you take in too many carbs, u can't go back. Everyones body reacts differently. U need some pros advice on this one. Good luck bro!

i would jus ttreat the time of the photo shoot like it was pre-judging. so do what you would do for a show leading up to that particular day.

Carb loading is soo difficult to peg, even for guys with a lot of experience. and what works once wont necessarily yield the exact results again. For the most part.... I think most would agree that it is quite easy to carb up too much and look like smooth. I would be very careful how much you carb up and what u use to carb up on. I would play it safe. Again, we need some pros or some guys with a lot of experience to help the man out!!

Does this look okay? Im bringing out all the details of what Im going (hopefully) to do.

Day 1: 2 gallons of water, salt load, max 50g carbs (from veggies only), light training (15-20 reps)
Day 2: 2 gallons of water, salt load, max 50g carbs (from veggies only), light training (15-20 reps)
Day 3: 2 gallons of water, salt load, max 50g carbs (from veggies only), light training (15-20 reps)
Day 4: 2 gallons of water, no salt, max 50g carbs (from veggies only), light training (15-20 reps)
Day 5: 2 gallons of water, no salt, max 50g carbs (from veggies only), no training, starting with hair removal (Veet cream), starting to apply Pro tan (1st coat)
Day 6: No water after 3 AM (only sips of water to each meal. Ive heard cutting it all out is bad), Carb load: 20-50g carbs from food such as pasta, brown rice, ricecakes etc. starting to apply Pro tan (second coat)
Day 7: No water, continue carb load, applying last coat of Pro tan, 30 minutes before photo shoot: A couple of ricecakes with jelly (?), a little alchohol to bring out the veins, starting to pump up my muscles, applying Hot stuff to the pro tan, take pictuers!

Damn if I ever get through all of this Im gonna be proud. This is so much work, I dont know how people get through it. Let me know what ya think and if ya would do anything different.

If theres no more further replies, then I`ll think I just stick to this one and see how it goes. There are two different picture contests with different dates, so I guess I will just have to learn from the first one and maybe change things up the second time if it didnt go well. :)

Thanks again.

You should be drinking close to 2 gallons of water now as it is IMO - therefore, once you get to your "7 day out plan" I would take your water up to 4 gallons a day (especially when sodium loading) and cut the 4 gallons all at once on day 6 like you have planned for the 2 gallons...

You're also going to want at least 3-4 coats of protan as a base IMO - I would start the protan being applied before bed everday starting 4 days out....

Your advice is noted. Thank you.

I think when it comes to this carb up stuff, you just have to know your body well enough to get it right. I am very carb sensitiv and I bloat very easily so Im just going to take it reaaally easy with the carbs to each meal.
