Can I have one cup of oatmeal (Muscle Milk protein oatmeal to be specific) on the morning of my show for breakfast (in addition to a fruit and other stuff)? Or will the oatmeal be too heavy?

Prejudging is at 11 and night show is at 6 in case it makes a difference.

They are just like normal oatmeal except more protein. i'd be eating breakfast around 6:30 - 7. so oatmeal is ok or too heavy for the day of a show?

The contest went really well. I competed in Jerry Marsala's Can/Am Olympus this past weekend in Buffalo, New York with more or less good success. It was my first time competing as a novice women (I'm only 18), so the other competitors had more mass and muscular maturity (not that I'm making excuses, but...). Which is probably why I placed 6th out of 7th in that division. However, I made up for it by winning the teen women's division. :) Here are some pictures from the contest, and two days after (which is 3 days before my next contest, and 10 days before my next next contest).

It looks like you may have dieted down a little too quickly and lost too much muscle as you leaned out. Think long term on your next bulk, and don't get too concerned about adding too much weight or bodyfat. Don't get disheartened when you lose the 6-pack on the next bulk, think of muscle and strength gains.

Thanks for the input, I will definitely take that into account. The only problem is that I don't diet for these contests. I have hyperthyroidism and reactive hypoglycemia (a form of type 1 diabetes - so I can't have too many somple carbs). When you say don't get too concerned about adding too much weight, I wouldn't at all! In fact, I want to put on weight, but the doctor hasn't perscribed me medication for the h.t. and the r.h. is a diet controlled thing.

The definition I have is just genetics, not loss of muscle.

I'm trying this new method whereby they massage a tan on your, and it stays on for a while. I do two coats of protan thursday, two friday and one saturday morning. i find that the oil smudges the tan, but pam doesn't (only a few contests dont let you use pam).
