Eh, some of the things he says are true but some are stretched out. I think the target audience is not educated lifters but to the newbies that either want to just exercise and have no sense of diet or diet and have no sense of exercise.

He is talking sense. The training is the most important factor. Having a good diet will help with your recovery but is worthless without the intense training.

I'd like to elaborate on my first statement.

First lets establish that the eat, train, sleep cycle is the basic combination we need for great bodies. His argument is based on his own opinion. If I were to address him i would say "What if the group that ate whatever they wanted, over ate?".

What he's saying isn't exactly wrong, but it's not correct. More of a half truth or making a point by exclusion. Anybody needs to understand to exercise you need to eat right and if you're eating right you should exercise to maximize everything.

But if you train hard and your diet is off then you will look terrible, everything is equally important.

cosign^^^^^Yeah hes mostly believes that working out builds muscles which it does but i think he forgets about the diet cuz diet is as important as working out. You can workout till your blue in the face but without a diet you won't pretty much get anywhere.

I don't think he is telling people to eat junk. The message is the training is no:1 priority. People worry to much about there diet and what supplements to take when there focus should be on the training.

From my own experience training has a bigger influence than diet does.

But I do agree a good diet does help. For me the biggest thing I notice is I don't get sick much when eating a good diet.
