kinda how the hammer strength machines are set up.
with the natural grip i find that the db' can go deeper near the arm pit area, I also think it takes a strain off the shoulder.

Funny you mention that Prime because I did natural grip the second and third set. That was my first set and wanted to just get the "basic" form and try to go as deep as I can. I believe Branch trains with that style if I'm not mistaken. But your right, the reps are much deeper, next week I'll get one posted up with that style.

I do something similar to what Prime says. I have tendonitis in my shoulders so my PT told me to turn em like Prime is mentioning. It helps alot with the strain on the rotator cuffs

Dude this gym is horrible! Nothing but highschool kids and it's way overcrowded. I only go here now because it's 10 a month and has everything I need. The downside is what I have to put up with stated above, and the DB's only go up to 100lbs.. I'm thinking about paying the extra 20 a month to go back to my original gym though. I almost got kicked out for making too much noise deadlifting. Too many rich people on the cardio machines trying to read their books I guess they want it like a library in there. The video will def fool ya lol.

Yea I was the victim. IMO the head lift is natural.... it's not like I make sure and do it when i bench, it just happens without me knowing. I don't think I can change that. Last time I did bench I tried keeping my head on bench, and I ended up taking too much focus away from the actual bench, just to keep my damn head down lol.

Yes, I was deceived. It definitely looks nice; nothing too fancy, just want you need. I can relate about the overcrowded part and I'm sure you have seen every variation know to man (and some you didn't know existed, and probably shouldn't exist haha). Didn't you say you trained at Metroflex before? How much was that? I think that if I lived in that area and could afford the membership I would never go anywhere else.

It's 30 a month with a 100 down payment. The only downside is no AC. In the summer it's brutal, but great for guys that compete, you don't have to do any damn cardio in that place.

Ouch. I'm not used to contracts. Yeah, the lack of AC would do a number on someone. Especially with summers in the 110s+. Are you thinking about joining back at Metroflex or were you talking about another gym? (Oh, sorry if I'm hijacking this thread).

Nope just thinking about going back to LA Fitness. Db's go up to 125 there but much better then 100. Same price as metro but a lot closer. Metro is about 15-20 min. and l.a. is down the street.

that's why I hate my university gym. always overcrowded with frat boys and dbs only go up to 105. my gym I use at home goes up to 150 though

Exactly. Frat boys all over the place "tryin' to get swole!" Everyone is 6 in. away from the DB racks right in front of the mirror doing their curls, benches are always taken, and I think I've seen the worst form known to mankind. I never really saw that bad of form back home so I could never relate to the "horror" stories of a crowded gym full of morons. My university gym only goes up to 100s. Back home it's 120s. Okay, rant over.

Might ave to get some videos of me then soon. I didnt think i was pressing alot but as this seems to be alot i think i will as im pressing 110lbs incline db

Haha trying to 1 up me eh?!? Jk bro, the point of these videos isn't to show off what I can do but to get critiqued on my form. I can press much more then 100lbs if my gym went up any higher, but I'm really focusing on the form rather then how much I can lift. I wouldn't dare post to show how much I can lift cause there is always someone out there that will kill my total.

You might want to try Strouds in Bedford. Branch, JJ and Jay Moore train there. Serious gym. Also "The Gym" in Carrollton on Midway is a serious gym. Been training there for 6+ yrs. Used to train at Strouds, (Lot of powerlifters there).
