I couldn't agree more with flex, olympia 2007 was the most absurd ever. The only thing I agree with is that ronnie placed down to 3rd. No disrespect to the guy, he's a great BBer and will be remembered forever for his great titles, but he's simply getting too old for this. Flex explains everything perfectly.... hes a good guy and def knows what hes talking about (obviously).

I totaly agree whith what he is saying but why does he act suprised. The Olympia has been the most political contest ever. If you really want to go and compare who should have won, look at some of the past contest where he himself should have lost to Kevin Levrone IMO. Ronnie should have lost to Jay Cutler in I believe 2001. For him to act so surprised seemed kind of fishy. I may be overthinking this but its kind of funny for him to make these comments while MHP is being displayed the whole time, and all of the people he mentions have had a relationship with Muscular Development Magazine. I agree with him I just thought it was a little Ironic.

You agree Ronnie should have been 3rd? He was a wreck, he didn't deserve top 6. And of course Jay was given a gift, there is not anything justifiable about his placing and it really hurts bodybuilding. Makes you see just how much the contests are rigged

Well, based on his physique no, I don't think he took 3rd obviously, but are they really going to take a 8-time Mr.Olympia and put him 10th? lol

It shouldnt have mattered what he did previously, all that matters is how he looked on that stage that night

In a perfect world your right, but in all sports that are judjed by Humans and have influence from other common interest can easily be subject to political gain where politics shouldnt have a role. But thats fighting a battle the you cant win , and Flex knows that probably better than any one being a champion himself. Integrigty in a lot of sports have alway been questionable even dating back to the Arnold era where some felt very strongly that certain bodybuilders should have beat Arnold. You have to remember its a business first. Watch how well Wolf will do next year do to the crowds overwhelming response to his performance in 07.

I'm new here but Jay won, although his conditioning was slightly off from previous competetions he still squeaked it out. When your champ, you have to clearly be beaten to by taken off your platform. Jay had it, kept it, and still earned it.
