Reverse Band bench press works to improve your strength at the top of the lift. The bands help you to get it off the chest, but help less and less as you raise the bar.
This has the same sort of effect as a bench shirt.
Bands can also be used to pull the weight down, whereas they are attached to the bottom of the rack and apply more pressure the higher your raise the bar.
