P-O-I - Vince was the first competitor that I ever saw do the whole robot thing (Not sure if he was the first to do it, or just the first that I saw.)

It was way back when he had an eye injury, and was wearing this patch over his eye. I think it was back around the time of the first Terminator movie. Somebody must have said something to him, and he supposedly improvised the robot portion of his routine, only later to work it in as an integral part, complete with other props.

I met him once, on a flight back from either NYC, Boston or SF Bay area - I don't remember. (Yeah, he lives down here too - or did at the time.) We spoke for awhile and he is such an incredibly nice guy. Ultimate professional and very down-to-earth.

At the end of the flight, I told him what a big fan I was of his, and that I hoped I hadn't bugged him too much with all of my questions. He said that if fans didn't recognize him, or if he didn't seem approachable, he wasn't doing his job right.

Hats off to ol' VT.
