My name is Nicolai I'm 20 and have been massively interested in all natural BodyBuilding as a hobby for 4 years now. This a video of where I am at right now along with my friend who is a bboy. I need all the advice I can get thanks. I just broke up with my first real love a few months before this video was made and kept working out but lost about 20 pounds from 200 to 180 so I lost a lot of progress. My genes suck for lifting I lost a 4 months of progress in 3 weeks of not lifting on my bench press so much respect to anyone who has advice to offer to help me out. Props to the site by the way, you guys do some great stuff for the sport.

The Video is on YouTube here obviously with the w's and http thing before it lol sorry i haven't posted enough yet to make links: youtube.com/watch?v=9t9QBiribfk

Are you a member of a gym?

Training at home isn't the way to go if you want to be big and ripped.

At least get some free weights.

Do all the compound movements and look in to your diet.

That video made me cringe.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes i'm a member of a gym obviously lol that video was definatly poorly put together with lighting that was probably counter productive sorry.

But yeah as far as my workouts go I try to get as much compound movements in as possible. My favorite exercise is actualy barbell rows and as much as I hate doing wide grip pull ups I do those too. There is nothing I hate more than squats being 6'3" and going down all the way past sitting I feel like i'm underneath the earth, So I am recently actualy only under 100 pounds on my squats which is terrible I know. My average workout is about an hour and is about every other day. I try to push myself as hard as possible and go to almost complete failure.

My diet seems to be one of the biggest problems I think. Over the summer I actualy probably only averaged about 1200 calories a day since I could barely eat at all. Right now i'm still struggling with eating still with panic disorder and the break up I dunno how to get out of this rut. But I mean what types of food and how much should I be looking at. It's funny I really have been researching and working at this for years but I am always learning new things I guess I'm just a slow learner lol. I just recently went through the I think 2001 edition of the body building encyl to get some insight.

You want to be big and eat 1200 cals a day?

Dude, I weigh a puny 113lbs and eat 1300 cals for my contest diet.

If i lost my gf i would be devastated and really hurt but i wouldnt let it run me down completely, you get hurt but you better bloody get back up again! This is your life take control.

Don't get big for girls either, sure you'll have some fun but girls who like muscles are materialistic. They will love your muscles and then what?

Do this for yourself, nobody else.

its all to do with diet i rekon....everything is about what u eat and when, and how.
traning and recovery are important but as long as you train hard and smartly, and get enough rest things will happen. diet makes sure those things happen, genetics aside

God I hate running lol. Thanks yeah that's what I've been hearing from most people is the diet problem. I guess I need some time to recover and get my medication straight with the panic disorder til I can really get back into this cuz I need to eat much harder than I do. Thanks for the help with the video btw.

you need to eat much much more, then focus on getting stronger in squats, rows, deadlifts, bench, overhead press etc

good luck

Get a diet together and post it. I and a lot of other people on here did not eat enough in the beginning. Do not be afraid of food, know that something as simple as eating is a large step in determing whether you meet your goals. Post your total stats and diet and we will help you. Stay positive!

Thanks guys, i'm actualy ;starting to feel better my medication is straightening things out and I hit the gym hard today on legs. I can't beleive i've been doing this for the past three days this is more than i thought i would ever eat but... here's what i've been going on for a diet. I'm trying to estimate which i'm hopeuflly not very far off, with 600 calories a meal at about 4 or 5 meals a day. Each meal i'm getting complex and simple carbs, about 40g of protein, some fat and nuts, as well as a serving of fruit and a veggie every other meal or so. Before I go to bed now which I will be sleeping 10 hours a day, I'm having about 40g of protein in lean chicken before I get my megawhey.

The big thing I'm worried about is gaining too much fat with this muscle. As you can tell I'm eastern european and I can put on pounds very easily. What should I be doing to make sure I have enough calories and protein for my workouts, but not be putting on much fat at the same time....?

Thanks for all the support by the way!

Alot of people think that if they fall behind in one apect of bodybuilding that they can make it up in another way. The plain and simple fact is that you need to be bang on if you wanna see results. You cant just not put any effort in your training and expect to make it up in what you eat or what supplements you take. "EVERYBODY WANNA BE A BODYBULDING, BUT NOBODY WANT TO LIFT NO HEAVY ASS WEIGHT

go as heavy as you can and as intense as you can and hopefully no one will laugh at you the next time you post a video like that.
