That's stupid.

Sure he did bench it with bodybyuilding position which is harder than the powerlifting position, but he didn't even have his leggs up in the air.

If PhilHeath weighted 225lbs and military benchpressed his own bodyweight for 50 reps, then yes that would be good... but that was a waste of time, come on people.

Are you nutz?

If only he arched the ROM would be halved.

Besides he keeps the pressure on every rep, if he just locked out on every rep he would 100 reps.

Like I said before, Phil Heath weight's much more that 225lbs, and you're athletic ability are taken from your ability to military bench press your own bodyweight with wide grip as many times as possible, and from maxing out.

You only have to lock down on max ONE reps, high repetitions you should be doing like Phil Heath and not locking out with every rep.

that's some impressive stuff right there, and as jornT's mentioned - it's actually more difficult with that limited ROM from the bottom as the pressure on the chest is constant

I don't mind if there is a way to do it harder. I don't mind if military press is a better way to measure anything (wtf? powerlifters do bench, squat and deads...).
The point is that I CANNOT do that and don't know any guy able to do that so yes, it's impressive.

i don't know why u guys still clamied about his reps being crap .. i don't see anything wrong with it .. plus he should won that competition not Jermy freeman who was lowering the bar just 1 inch and then push it back .. phill was using the perfect form in that competition and he was keeping the tension in every reps .. plus as Jorn said he would be able to rep this weight out for 100 reps if he locks out his joint
