3. I beleave Arnold was about 6.2 and 230 at his best (feel free to correct me). And ronnie if it is 2001 was 5.10 ~ 5.11 at 260 lbs considerably more ripped. Now i know that lines and waist to sholder ratio has allot to do with the illution but i still beleave that someone has been tampering with these pictures.

What do you guys think?

I for one definitely think they have been tampered with. Of course those pictures were set up by the "ironage" guys which of course are biased to the old guys. Of course we all know there is really no comparing a top pro from now to a top pro from them. Ronnie blows Arnold of stage....but you have to consider the change in nutrition, drugs, prize money, etc.

Your a young bb so I won't pic on you to much. But serrously Gary was a freak. His shoulders wern't stretched in those pic's. He has always had huge shoulders. (None of that synthol ****)

No they had EsikClean, but back to the topic at large....Gary Strydom was always big and when he went over to the WBF he became massive. IMHO he is the most under rated bodybuilder EVER!!

as i said he gained a heap of mass when he left the IFBB for the WBF which came after 88 as those who went over were never to return.

Not much info on him, he was a bit of a realistic person without ego.

In 1996 he was 275lbs according to FLEX Magazine. Paul Dillet said he owed his delt development to Strydom because he idolised him.

I seen him on a Shawn Ray video once were he said something like, "sometimes you train and diet as hard as you can and that's all you can do" I think the topic was winning the "O". So as I said he was a realist as far as his potential to go all the way.

and he did comeback from the WBF fiasco (briefly) from which it was reported that Vince McMahon had him on $400,000 a year contract.

Sergio was just as massive as many of the guys today. He was like 5'10" 240. He would still look huge on stage with the guys of today. Its impressive with what those guys had back then.
