here's the story
Bertil was convicted of the double murders of his girlfriend Leyoca Browne and her mother Violet. I believe he initially denied any responsibility in the murders, but when he was sentenced with the death penalty for that he admitted to the murder in an appeal and is now serving a life imprisonment sentence. Sad story about what happened to those two women. Whether Bertil did it or not, nobody will ever know except for Bertil. I'm not sure exactly what the details of his confession were, since he initially denied it, he may only have confessed to save himself from the death penalty. What happened was horrible and if Bertil was responsible for it, he deserves to be in jail for the rest of his life.
As mentioned, Bertil was initially sentenced to death (by hanging). He was sentenced in 1998 in the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts. His case took some turns, and the sentenced was eventually defeated in an appeal. The Privvy Council reduced his sentenced to life imprisonment. Leyoca Browne and Violet were both murdered by gun shot.
