Don't know if this has been mentioned before, couldn't find it in the search thread and thought about it from the bodybuilders are slow thread!
But how many times have you heard people assume that BBer's are stupid.
They seem to think that the reason people are big and strong is because they are too stupid to read and all they can do is lift things that are heavy.
I mean, where did this attitude towards BBer's begin?
Is it because people have grown up in fear of "the big bully at school" and associate size with moronic idiots from those bygone school days?
It makes me laugh, when you consider "real" bodybuilders and trainers spend a considerable amount of time learning about correct nutrition and the way the body works - far more so than the average person does.
Look how what bodybuilders have been doing for so long has "finally" become an accepted doctor approved way of living.
It hasn't been that long since doctors and nutritionalists stated that eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day is more beneficial than eating 3 big meals - BBer's had been doing that for years!
When it comes down to it - BBing is a choice of education - both of mind and of body. How is it any less a specialist choice of activity than writing a novel, or learning to play an instrument or any other number of things that people don't consider you to be "stupid" to be doing it.
Anyone else wondered this?
