Iam certifided through Can-Fit-Pro.. not sure where you are from but thats the canadian certification.. personally I tried to work for a gym and hated it.. but I dont know your personality so I cant say if youd like it or not... if anythind id prefer to train people privately.. but you also have to be certified for that.. Good Luck

PT studie wasnt expensive it was something like 800 euro it not only the PT youre doing. in holland you start off with fitnesstrainer A than you get fitnesstrainer B and after that you can get PT theire all different studies....
the other sports and economics was expensive 5000 euro a year and it takes 4 years to graduate.

I am certified by NASM(which is a good course because you can train many different populations), and much of my Bachelor's course study had an emphasis in either Nutritional Science/PE. Im also thinking of going back to get a Masters in a related field. I train people 6 days/week and I really enjoy my job. I had all desk jobs before, so even though the pay is somewhat less as a trainer I really like it and find it fulfilling. The downside for me is the selling portion of the job, I really dont enjoy having to sell training but Im getting better at it. :) Good luck deciding!

Im certified over here in aus, and i dunno about you guys but the course was a joke. most of it was outdated and the rest put me to sleep with stuff i learnt in high school.
as for it being a career, i work as a fit instructor as well and use that as my main job with PT on the side. Pt is very time consuming if ur not in a studio all day because half of your time is spent travelling, but best of luck

I am certified. I have done the ISSA and the ACE, but the NASM is the most beneficial. ISSA and ACE are all book work. The problem with gyms here in america is that people think that your a trainer and you go to a gym and train...no...your a sales person at all the big chains like GOLDs Ballys and 24 Hour. You have to be a good sales person to be a successful trainer IMO.

I am a certified PT did it at Midland Tafe University. In perth the money is shit most kids get paid roughly $11 an hour. While I was in the cource got asked by a dude to do sum crowd control work for $45 an hour so took that avenue instead. Eventually got board of that and retook the uni (college) entrance exams and now finishing off my last year in a bachelor of education. Graduate next year whoooooooooooooooohooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! If the money's good where you live take it or continue studying. I know a lot of fella's used there PT cert to get into sports science at uni.

Ace is sorta hard, nothing anyone couldn't handle. But dude, if you study your ass off for two months....I would say you studied for about a month and a half too long. Ill tell ya'll what. Books can only teach you so much. I believe that all my best info comes from my own personal experience. The things I have made mistakes on and learned from are what really allow me to be a successful trainer.
