In this great sport there are many things it can teach you. Whether its self control, a better attitude, staying out of trouble, etc. Whatever it maybe, let everyone know.

i think that it has given me a sense of purpose in life. for the hour or so im in the gym im not thinking about anything from the outside world which is why i love going so much. every morning i wake up and think about what exercises im going to do later that day how sore i am form yesterday and how my workout is going to be, i love it.
and your results are completly dependant on how hard you work, work hard enough and you see your results, so i think it has helped me with perservearance too. also helps to see people out of stereotypes not only weightlifters but everyone
it is the greatest sport...

...I can't speak for anyone else on here but I can honestly tell you that it's increased my mental discipline a lot.~

Given me a belief in my abilities. The chance to better myself through my own design. Plus thinking of how it looks to others, I'd say it shows dedication and projects an image of good health - which is what you gain from doing it anyway. Plus it has given me a better understanding of my body and not just the way it functions, but the way it functions best!
Plus it helped me bag my wife who thought I was fit as f*ck!

um, low grades at the end of my schooling ( i skipped morning class to train for my last year), slacking off in my band (muscles before music), a lot of confused people questioning what i really do in the gym. (after a heavy leg day), i could go on.
And of course all the other things u guys hav mentioned.
Its also tought me how un-educated a majority of the public really are

I've learned about listening to my body (seeing what works and what doesn't work), and have learned a lot about my body. I have also been dedicated, diciplined, consistent, and stayed positive since getting envovled in Bodybuilding.

AW SHIT

has anybody had a look at Hardkores posts and seen what supplements hes takin watch out hes on the DUN DUN DUN MASS STACK!!!! ahaha i play to much hes gonna get mad if he takes that seriously, so harkore dont bc i like to fux wit cha, and everybody else on the board.

Ive learned how to put on size how to cut up how to control the way i want my body to look. Also ive learned discipline in my diet, and what it really takes to add size on the frame w/o drugs and with em. Ive had a lot of experience in the thunderdome i call home. (Central Illinois weightlifting) I been doin this stuff since i was 13 im 20 now. Ive had a lot a great experiences and a lot a bad ones too. I thank the sport of bodybuilding for giving me confidence and the ability to crack jokes on myself. Ive met all kinds of different people throughout my life and if it werent for the gym i wouldnt know 3/4 of em.

I owe myself more than just up n quittin bc i lost a little fire and got injured when i was liftin. Thnaks for the TOPIC who ever started it bc it made me hungry again, and hungry with out drugs. Im better than that, i rely on God to give me strength now not steriods.

Like the big nasty says aint nuthin to it but to do it!

Thanks and God Bless

lol hardkore <3's BSN, he is gonna get huge off BSN...

Anyway bodybuilding has taken my soul and given me a drive for success, a sense of hard work and pride within it. The will to improve my knowledge on health and the human body. Knowledge gives me the edge over the sharkish mentality of many supplement companies, and helps me improve my physique to the best of my ability.
