Hey guys,

At the moment I'm looking for a new, better fitness center. I've already tried several ones. Today I just found a very nice one.
It has got "Matrix" machines. The owner told me it's an American brand. Number four in the States.

Anybody got some experience with Matrix?
What do you think of Matrix gear?

Thanx for your opinions,
Joe

exactly, who cares about fancy machine (with a few exceptions) Get your butt over to the bb and db racks and start pumping!
Also, try avoid those flashy "fitness centres", and find a gym that isnt designed for houswives to sit on bikes and watch tv soaps. are you a man of iron or a "girly man"? lol

well, my training schedule combines bb/db with machines.
I don't see the point not training with machines.

Anyway, thanx for your replies.
I'm quite convinced now, that this is the right studio for me. It's a bit "flashy", but I didn't recognized any housewives. Only pretty chicks doing legs...

Couldn't have put it better my self. So true. I went to this gym where almost every guy was wearing an underarmer shirt that was too small 'believe it or not too small" and were cheating on every movement they did. 1/4 reps with a weight they could do maybe 2 times with proper form. TV's everywhere. It made me sick. Not knocking gyms that are well equiped or anything, I love them, I am a Golds member. But you know what I am talking about.

personally i've used several of their machines and I think they suck... primarily because they all tend to have a very weird range of motion. For instance, the preacher curl machine doesn't have a typical arch ROM, instead the handle bars go up and then at a particular point they then come in. I've tried the leg-press, dip machine and shoulder press and they're all just as bad

my gym has matrix machines...but i never use them. Only the sitting machine bench press...or how you call them. And i have to say, it's quite comfortable, but a bit on the light side....so there just fancy and nothing else.

Yeah the matrix machines kinda appeal to the "soccer mom" fitness crowd but I find they don't duplicate the ROM if the actual movement, they just look pretty. If machines are to be used I recommend hammer strength mainly, also lifefitness has a couple ones i like
