LOL im from south louisiana, i live about 45 minutes from new orleans in a city called houma, which is about 50 miles from the coastline, so basically i live in the deeeeep south, gumbo, is not necessarily very thick, its has a watery texture without the watery taste, but yes there are a variety of spices, oftentimes includes sausage, chicken, always with rice and other vegetables, its the next best thing to jambalaya and boudin, its oh so good, very common in louisiana, i suggest you all try it if you ever pass by here |
