To each his own. Give it a shot. Worst case scenario: It doesn't work for you; fine, a month or so "wasted." However, it might be the best thing for your body growth/strength wise. Lately I've been doing frequency, yet still maintaining high volume (based on a variation Layne Norton's Power/Hypertrophy split). I had success with the program the first go around so I thought I would do it again. Go with a routine for a month and see how your body responds.

By "wasted" you mean don't see any positive results or gains right, like time is wasted? You don't mean that you can actually lose what you already have worked for do you? I'm assuming by switching the routine and still working hard and consistent that you will at worst maintain what you have. What do you think?

it depends what your trying to do get stronger this will defiantly not be wasting your time. Im loving my routine now check it.
Day one
Deadlift movement
Back Movements(Pull ups,DB/BB row ect.)

Day two
2 compound chest movements (board press/floor presses db/BB press)
Tri Movement
Shoulder movement
Core

Day Three OFF

Day Four
Squat movement
Hamstring
Low Back

Day Five Off

Day Six
Same as Day Two

Day seven Off

On off days i do cardio because i need to control my weight so i dont get to heavy so when i need to cut i dont lose to much strength. This routine gives you alot of rest time more than im use too so when i get in the gym im tearing sh*t up so to speak.

chances you would lose your gains are very low, maintining muscle mass is relatively easy, doesnt take much to keep it compared to gaining. so i would say it will either benefit or have no effect; go for it.

I wasn't saying current progress would be lost. I was referring to the fact that substantial gains might not be made compared to, say, another routine. I used "wasted" very loosely because gains might still be made, but not to the magnitude that could be achieved with another routine. Basically just a plateau is the worst that could happen. Or it could be the greatest routine his body has experienced and make some great gains because of it.
