Hello Friends,
I have been taking creatine Mono from a month now. Is it ok to keep continuing or a break of few days should be given, as the body doesnt get used to it , or might be giving a break for few days to the body.
I dont wanna discontinue as it ll definitely effect the size.
Suggesstions pls...

Thanks.

Creatine and any type of pre-workout supplement should be run in cycles. A break is always needed as you mentioned to keep your body from adapting to it

^^^I disagree. NO products maybe but there aren't any studies that say creatine should be cycled. Creatine is already produced in the body so why would you need to cycle something your body is already using is my rational. Will it hurt you to cycle it? No. Will it help you? maybe

See I have been TOLD that but I have seen a medical study that suggested there was no need too. I'm told alot of things but unless I see firm medical day or experiment I'm always skeptical. I'm at work now but I'll try and find that study that showed it didn't need to be cycled...

Hi guys,,,,
I see lots of clashes here,,,,,,,,,,,,Yeah actually i have also been said abt a break for a mnth after 3 mnths. But some how i dont feel its right ,,coz i dont think professional bodybuilders do that as its gonna make them look smaller,,,,

It would be great if you ( DETERMINED 08) could find the study ,,,,,

Here's an interesting read. Pretty long. The 4th or 5th paragraph down on creatine timing talks about how creatine PRE workout doesn't do anything. I'm still looking for that thing. Currently at work so browzing the internet isn't easy specially on a phone. I'll find it though

Also at the very bottom they highlight the main points and #9 I think says there is no reason to cycle it but it CAN BE DONE. Couldn't find that in the reading though I was just skimming

This ones's from Layne Norton as many know who that is...

Is it Necessary to Cycle Creatine?

"Once again it is not necessary to do so but it can help. Your body has an internal equilibrium which you can swing in your favor for a duration of time, but over time that equilibrium will eventually swing back.

Meaning taking excess creatine for a short period of time (4-8 weeks) may temporarily increase your creatine phosphate stores but after awhile your body's feedback mechanisms will likely place some time of control on creatine phosphate storage to bring the levels back down to normal. This mechanism may be to decrease your body's own production of creatine or to downgrade the number receptors that admit creatine into the cell. Taking time off from creatine can help bring your body's equilibrium back into a state where in taking excess creatine will be beneficial again. I would like to make clear at this point that I know of no studies to back this theory up with, it could be right or wrong, I am just merely applying my knowledge of biochemistry to a frequently asked question to which there is no good answer to yet."

Bodybuilding.com - Creatine: Fact And Fiction! - Layne Norton

Again I said you don't NEED TOO I'm sure that either way you'll be fine if you think it'll help gains go for it. Hope I helped. I know I found that study on an educational website but it was through a database set up at my school. Having a really hard time finding it...

I know the downside of roids and roid substitutes. And it makes sense to cycle creatine, but what are the dangers of creatine use?
