I personally view bodybuilding as a sport which manages to overcome racial lines with far greater success than many other sports that are prevelant in today's society. I see fairly equal representation from many different races in the bodybuilding scene.
IMO, unfortunately race will always be an issue as long as people walk the face of the earth. In those cases where race is not an issue, religion, wealth, politics etc. quickly swoop in to take the place of race as a dividing factor. Basically what it comes down to IMO is that people are bastards and most of them/us thrive on creating an atmosphere where "us" vs. "them" is the common environment. This atmosphere provides many people with a sense of security and belonging, and serves as a scapegoat when things dont go their way
