i'm no source when it comes to completey understanding the endo, ect, meso classes, but it seems to me VERY few ppl are TRUE mesomorphs...i was out the other night and a group of guys were touching on the subject, most of which modestly admited they themselves where meso. lol

it would seem imo that most ppl have a % of endo/ecto first, then meso if your able to add slabs of thick mass with ease...so a mix is more realisitic imo.

ive only known 2 guys in my life i would consider absolute mesomorphs, most ppl would call them freaks so they could retain their own personal mesomorph throne id guess? i'm thinking that this classification of meso is just very rare in form?

alot bbers probably consider themselves meso, simple b/c of their company. even some my bbers friends have crappy diets or weak training, etc so it's possible someone with a good mix of traing/diet could mistake their own classification by comparsion simply by the fruits of their own knowledge or diet.

i used to think i was meso years ago, but i had to lift weight to get big, not just naturally huge. i can pack it on fast, but i wasnt just huge for no reason. ive seen that before in life, dudes that don't lift AT ALL, 16-17 years old with slabs of shredded mass-NOT FAT...now keep in mind thats VERY rare, but ive seen it..

an example i saw was a kid i suspected used AAS early to get a jump. the kid was in and out homes, had a medical condition, and still looked like a bber at 17 years old. I'm not talking about big for 17 either, or fat...im talking BIG for 25 years old, with years of experience and diet. i vividly remember his uncle testing his bf% at barely 18 years old and he was 9% bf WITH just under 19 inch arms cold keep in mind thats almost ZERO training and horrible diet..
i was around this kid all the time for about 2 years. now thats meso imo.
he started lifting at 20 years old and stopped, and within 4 months he felt he was getting too big lol. i think he was around 240lbs 6'1, but stupid lean.

i think that self classification can be thrown around too easily imo. the ppl we call "freaks" should hold that meso title imo...i could be way off, but somehow everyone's a full meso seems like

You can be a mesomorph and be out of shape. Someotypes are generic and not necessarily of any real importance.

I have a friend that hasn't lifted in the past 2-3 years, and in that time has grown almost 2 inches in height, and gained about 30-40 lb of muscle mass. He's a lean 175lb 6'1 dude with about 5% body fat.

good call thomas, i think its mostly going to depend on your genetics, metabolism ect.. how your diet and exercise are on a daily basis, week to week, month to month, some guys have the higher metabolism which makes it real hard to put on size, or have the genetics to eat like a horse and stay lean, i believe the body types your listed are more a guide than a 100% call on how your going to look at any given time,

yeah, thats exactly what im talking about, those ppl actually exist as much as some ppl hate to admit it. guys that are lean as hell with thick muscles for no reason it's probably like 1 out of 10,000 men for those kinda genetics..

i remember a group of us friends went to miami to stay the whole summer at one of my uncle's beachpads, my meso friend was with us..that dude did nothing but drink and eat pizza the entire time and still looked like he was juicing, laughing the whole time at guys who had to work out and diet full time to achieve even less results..he would get called out on using roids all the time, but that only made him even more confident, considering he was natural...and did NOTHING to get big

at the time i didnt really workout, but i remember my other friend did, my meso pal made an appearance at the gym one morning bc i dragged him down their..this thick muscled, lean kid was slinging 275lbs on incline bench like it was a joke, but didnt go up weight for fear of injury...keep in mind, he hadnt touched weights in 6 months or better, and even then he only worked out a couple times

i think it has more to do with bone structure and the ability to regrow muscular tissue than bf% and diet

not sure, considering my meso mate had small bones with incredible muscle thickness...he always had abs too. ive seen the opposite too though.

i guess everyone has a specific gauge as to how their built, bone size, natural muscle structure, ability to grow muscle, natural body fat..some ppl are just gifted to produce lots of muscle with extremely low levels of fat, WITHOUT working out or dieting depending on the person, you may get some of those attributes, but rarely all

yeah. well that one guy i havent seen in 6-8 months, but then he was about 27 i think, but still looks like a bber...hasnt changed really in 6 years...he told me then he hadnt worked out in about 2 years...most ppl i would think were lying, but since i know this dude personally....it has to be true..lol

age does have alot to do with it though, he'll actually have to workout in his mid thirties to maintain size im sure, maybe even a protein shake once a day lol

i think theres too many factors involved to pin point anything. im gonna go with the bone structure tho. all the muscle in the world wont help a brittle bone. fat is however, irrelevant if you ask me. well a certain amount is anyways but there are factors for excess fat. like hypothyroidism can make it hard to maintain fat loss but the fat doesnt outweigh muscle production...... my brain is gonna explode so im gonna stop hahahahahaha

There's many more different body types than just the basic three. I agree that most people are either ecto-meso or endo-meso and not truly meso. I myself am probably ecto-meso more than I am meso-meso. But I know someone who harldy eats anything, plays sports in every season(football, wrestling and lacrosse) and is shredded year round but is pretty strong and big without even lifting much. I'm not sure what you'd call that, ecto-meso maybe, but it depends on diet, physical activity and sleep to an extent.
