I am not a diehard BB'er. Call it lack of dedication, conflicting lifestyle, etc. But in response to this thread, I can say the perfection we seek can be found in our actions. Everyone's body is different, and as you mentioned, 'perfection' is always changing in terms of what the expected end result is.
however, perfection in our motions, use of our energy, protection against injury, lifting for maximum results, and nutrition, can all be achieved.
Even if only for one day I achieve perfection in nutrition, and the use of my energy, I will feel quite accomplished for that day. The end result, my body, that is something for me and only me to either approve or disapprove of.
If everybody is built differently, our DNA is different, our bodies react to identical diets and movements differently, then the end result (what our body looks like) is the result of our efforts and is perfectly relative to the effort placed in our lifting, eating, sleeping, etc.
Too bad BB'rs aren't judged by their routines and nutrition!
