Hi

I’ve been going in gym for some time now and I recently decided to build my own because of waste of time. I’ve done some drawings but I’m lacking dimensions, so if someone know right dimensions or have some blueprints, I would be very thankful if you post it here or pm to me :) .

By the way I uploaded pictures that I drew and marked unknown dimensions, so if there is someone who actually know dimensions, just write dimension (in meters if possible :) ) after corresponding number.

Thanks!

Ok man!
Just give me those dimensions and after I finish it, I will make some kind of tutorial so that everyone see how easy is to make it, if you have some basic tools and some skill. You don’t have to waste a fortune for professional equipment you can give drawings to some mechanic that you know and he will build you a gym for a half price!

I would recommend going over to elitefts.com and checking out their equipment. I believe they list the dimensions you are looking for and they have top of the line equipment.

Are you kidding me?!?! I was just thinking about this last night! I've bought everything a person could want from Body Solid over the past 10 years, but I lack a serious leg press machine. At $1000 for the one I want, I was actually pondering just building one.

So needless to say, I'll be following this thread if you keep it up.

I don't have the bench you're building, so I can't get sizes for that. I do however have an incline/decline bench (without attached rack) that I can measure if that helps. I've had three different benches, and this one is the best so far. Wider is ALWAYS better.

Yeah that's awesome. I've been planning on going a much easier route and just getting some sandbags. Haven't found a place that sells them in NYC so far though.

ya Ive been trying to figure out how to make a squat rack. Im thinking you could probably build them out of 2x4s or since I have a welder a metal triangular type bracket just anchored right the wall. Now obviously it would have to go into studs so its just weather the spacing will work out. I havent gone to the hardware store yet to see what kind of load a heavy duty screw can take, im guessing youd use bolts in the bracket. Oh Im short on space and dont have room for a free standing unit. Plus it would have to be crazy weighted if made from wood and steel would be to exspensive. Great idea. Im making a mini tree right now for some plates Ill put a pic up when its done.

To be honest I already made bench press last year with many mistakes (as you can see in the picture) and now I want to make it right, so anyone? dimensions? please?

If someone need dimensions for gladiator or bench for abs( I don’t know how it is said in English) just ask, since those two work fine to me.
