That's the name of the game. I'm reading a lot about nutrition and training lately and there's some stuff that I'm not clear on the I'd like some of you guys to help me with. So let's get to it. First off, during the absorption of lipids do the small molecules(glycerol and small to middle length fatty acids) and the larger molecules(monoglycerides and long chain fatty acids put end up as chylomicrons or is that just the larger ones that become chylomicrons? If so what are the smaller molecules used for in the body?
Do all lipids become micelles or just the larger ones? I'm getting a little confused when I read that part. Also, the book says, " the intestinal cells assemble freshly absorbed lipids into chylomicrons, lipid packages with protein escorts, for transport so that cells all over the body may select needed lipids from them." What are all the uses of the contents of the chylomicrons in the muscles?
One of these to come, thanks in advance guys.
