1.) That moderate usage of AS is safe.
2.) That NO bodybuilders are gay.
3.) That most hard core bodybuilders are "normal", sane family men.
4.) That bodybuilding is a sport.
5.) That bodybuilding will become an Olympic venue.

Dude, I cannot believe you just stated that a misconception of bodybuilding is that 'it is a sport' and that 'most hardcore bodybuilders are normal, family men.'
That post is damn stupid and pure ****ish.

1)Moderate usage of AS is very safe. Ask any qualified doctor.
2)Who on earth said that?
3)Define normal
4)What is it then?
5)Maybe, who knows, if tug of war can make it, why not bodybuilding? And a venue is where an event takes place, not the event itself.....

and finally....

6)Social inadequacies leading to childish inappropriate behaviour and language are just that. Logging onto a bodybuilding website to insult bodybuilding and it's followers is a call for attention....I'm not giving you anymore of mine.

...that it's done at all is disconcerting.

..and why is this done? It's done for money, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to compete on an amateur/national level without using DRUGS!!!

...bodybuilding is NOT a sport, it's a glorified beauty contest. Who's being disrespectful? I lifted for 20 years until a serious back injury.

...what's "sane" about living your entire life around getting up on a stage in a pair of speedos, covered in oil, and flexing your drug-induced muscles?
...and at home? I suppose the injectables are in the fridge next to the baby formula? Give me a break.

...I believe soewhat that most bodybuilders are egomaniacs with an inferiority complex. Plain and simple.

Baloney! I have NO intention on insulting a soul...
How many men (and women) on the Olympia stage are "moderate" AS users?
Plenty of posts here, and in other forums cringe at the idea that homosexuality runs rampant in the "sport" of bodybuilding. How many guys are doing gay-for-pay so they can afford their "drugged" lifestyle. Sane activity?
Bodybuilding is a beauty contest...whoever has the best body wins...like Miss America.
Bodybuilding continues to downward spiral into an abyss...and men like Steve Reeves, Vince Gironda and John Grimek are rolling in their graves.

umm if you really think that its all about that then you have no idea.. i can pretty much guarantee you that if you told any bodybuilder they could no longer compete... they would still workout... its a love, a passion, one that you have no idea about.

i dont understand your way of thinking, you have this bodybuilder in your avatar, your on a bb forum, but yet you seem to say that the majority of us in the sport or what ever you want to call it, are egomaniacs, and have a inferiority complex? you are entitled to your views, as we all are , but its hard to see any reasoning behind your views, other than the over blown assumptions your making in general,

What?

I'm sorry, but somebody who has worked through the incredible denial like myself has to tell what I feel is the truth.
Larry Scott was on the cover of my first bodybuiding magazine...I've loved this activity for a long time.
It's human...it's never enough.
Now it's all about mass, mass, mass. Where's the symmetry...the beautiful lines...the sculpture? FGo to YouTube and look at Branch Warren when he was a top ranking amateur...look at him now???!!!
...go to any of the gay "muscle worship" sites...hey! There's so and so who was just in the NPC Nationals...primping and being seductive...BS, is what it is.
...the men (and woman) who stand on the Olympia stage are in a very UNHEALTHY condition...cramping, starving for water...yeah, this is a sport all right! Bodybuilders DIE and no one has the ball to say that it was caused by STEROID ABUSE...they HAVE to do that to look like they do! Yeah, this is a sport...a sport that you CANNOT compete in without doing DRUGS! It's insanity.
Joe Weider is a money hungry F**K...
...and the magazines! WTF.....7 bucks worth of advertisments for **** that is pretty much useless...pages of women with the faces of angels and the morals of alley cats....sex, sex, sex...that will sell these rags.
I'm not sitting at my PC raging...I'm saddened by the state of these affairs...bodybuilding is getting more and more underground...you seldon see a show on TV anymore...gee, I wonder why?
The worse thing about denial is it allows more time for destruction.
...enough said.
Peace.

...you are right. I never competed, but I loved to lift...just loved it. I miss it, but now it's not possible with the back problems.
Bodybuilding is becoming a joke...why is that? Haven't you ever asked yourself why?
...wait and see what Evan Centopani looks like in a couple of years while "preparing" to stand on the Olympia stage...it will be mass for mass sake.
God I miss Steve Reeves.

..the guy in my avatar is Darin Lannaghan. He dropped out of bodybuiding because he realized he had to compromise his health to achieve success in bodybuilding...he felt that things wre really getting out of hand...too much! Way too much.
Lannaghan had a beautiful physique...artistic, symmetric...the general public would not have a problem with Darin's achievements...now it's insane.

How am i in denial, i just compared 2 sports nowhere did i deny that there is use of steroids in bodybuilding, or that we go up on stage and flex our oil covered muscles, you just seem to hate this sport which makes me wonder why you're even here. Then again i could say the same to steroidsr4losers

You're in denial about the fact that bodybuilding is NOT the only sport where steroids and other performance enhancing drugs are used.
