How Many Grams of BCAA Daily???

How many grams of BCAA's should i take daily? The reason why i ask is because my "Gold Standard Whey Protien" has 4 to 5 grams of BCAA per serving. I'm taking it Morining and Post Work out, which gives me 8 to 10g of BCAA per day. Is this enough, or do i need to get the BCAA by itself and take more?

    Thanks

I second this question. I'm unsure also. Would be nice to clear it up.

there are different approaches to this.....some diets get you to use a lot of bcaas like layne's and some dont....i like to take some bcaa inbetween my meals....and if i have a protein drink i put some in there too for the extra leucine....i say cant have enough leucine lol i know some guys who have 5 grams of leucine every 2 hours with their meals.....the key is to get a leucine spike every couple hours according to layne....

I think they recommend that you take in larger amounts of BCAA's post workout because it is at that time that your body can most assimilate them. They are already broke down into its most usable form, therefore get inot the bloodstream quickly. While dieting, I take in about 20 grams of BCAA's during my workout. 5-7 between sets. Then immediately after I'm done while they are still circulating in my bloodstream, I take my protein with some carbs to really drive the BCAA's into the muscles.

    as for me
    morning
    pre
    during
    post
    bed

and the mount can very, most the time I use powder and it only contains L-Leucine(2500mg) L-Isoleucine(1500mg) L-Valine(1500) I also believe that the protein im currently taking has 4-5 grams as well, but that includes essentials and non-essentials

I believe Leucine will help metabolize or stimulate synthesis of protein quicker in between meals

    Leucine : Isoleucine : Valine
You also want to make sure it is at a ratio of 2 : 1 : 1 for your BCAAs.

Well my weight right now is 180, and my BF% is 12. I'm 6'3".

So, i'm taking 8-10 grams of BCAA in my Whey right now. I would need to take another additional 10 grams, one 5g in morining and one 5g post workout?

just spread it out throught the day and take it in like 5-10g increments just so your body always has what it needs for protein synthesis

    Thanks, i will.

It just that i wanted to start taking 50g of whey protien in the morning instead of 24g. So by doing this, i'll consume 8-10g of BCAA since BCAA is in my whey protien drink.
