My reaction...
Took off my shirt did a double bi pose and flared my lats...

His reaction...
"Man how did you get so massive my upper body is only half your size!"

My reaction...
Im not a retard who only works out the muscles he can see and girls think are sexy. I train for over all size and strength.

His final reaction...
"Oh whatever i can get that big without working out my back."
Hehe.. classic ignorance what a retard..

Lets go a lil easy here shall we. Not everybody has big bodybuilding goals like many of you. Somebody just like to train to stay in shape or what not. I used to be pissed at other people too for not doing the damn thing.. But come on, thats not fair at all imo. I agree though, that people who complain too much about bad results maybe need a slap in the head if they arnt doing what is needed to actually achivie their goals..

i remember when i was doin my gym instructor course , i had to show this girl how to perform certain ressistance exercises , after the first set of machine presses she said i dont want to do too much weight lifting because i dont want to get big muscles and look like a man .

lol for some reason i didnt know what to say to her , mainly i think because we wernt allowed to advise on diets as we wernt nutritionalists , so i jus said too get big depends on how much food you eat.

for some unknown reason she took offence to that.

i think now i would have said it in differant way tho , but its suprising how many girls dont want to weight train as they think it will make them look more masculine , sorry for bad spelling lol

I totally agree.. it really pisses me off.. Some just don't understand how much food and intense training/lifestyle it takes to put on mass and look more 'masculine'..

I have a lot of stories like these. Most of them come from people that were my friends and I have tried to get them into the gym a couple times.
The most common one: "I don't want to get huge, you know, like bodybuilder massive, I think that's ugly."
- This one bothers me the most. I'm not sure if that's what they are using to convince themselves to continue being lazy or if they actually believe it, but why in the world isn't every single person in the gym as big as a bodybuilder? Because that takes a lot of F&#ing work! I want to punch the hell out of everyone who says this.
One that my best personal friend says to me: "I don't have time to lift"
- This coming from the dude who spends hours in front of the computer every day, occasionally calls me to talk because he's bored...Just to get in shape you only need like 3 hours a week minimum and over time you'll change.
I could go on about this but I must get my chicken breast out of the oven.

I dont correct randomers form in teh gym unless its someone i know well. Doesnt bother if they break their back curling

What I do hate is when a guy who tries to teach you his wrong form, when yours is absolutely perfect. The guys that tells me 'squaating A2G is bad for your knees'. 'Dont let your arms come all the way down on a curl'

And i hate it when the fat big guy, tries to teach you his crappy form and disregard what you say, because hes been trainin for longer, hes older and hes bigger but still looks like crap.

I just tell them im studying human physiology and sports science (which i am not) and they shut up :P Sometimes thats the only way I can get a point across.

definitely agree with the thing about not wanting to get huge... they act as if they workout once they will turn into ronnie coleman...
also i definitely agree with the one about not having time... some of the same people that say this are the ones that go out to the bar 2 and 3 nights a week and get slushed and spendt the whole next morning and sometimes day recuperating from that... or the same people that spend hours and hours playing xbox. there are very few people that truly do not have the time to exercise... most people it is a bogus excuse

wat i dislike is wen peaple tell you differant things , for example a couple weeks ago i was into my second week of my new routine and i had changed it up so i was doin higher reps and less sets , when am beching i always get a spotter so i can push past thos last reps , so i asked the guy who was on the bench next to me after he finneshed his set ,
once i had done my set i said cheers mate i got an extra rep out ,
he said good work ,
i said yea i still got along way to go tho ,

and he seemed to take that as if id never been in a gym bfore , dont get me wrong i appretiate peaple giving me info and help and i dont think am an expert but he started telling me you should do this and that like theres loadsa rules to working out and that only his way works .

he says he dos 6 sets of low reps on the bench which was close grip , then goes onto tell me not to do isolation exercises , but once he finneshed benching he goes and does tricep pushdowns lol .

also he says doing high reps is like pumping up the muscle which is not wat you wanna do , i mean com on i was only doing 10-12 reps .

then i went onto saying how important diet is
he says dont worry about the diet jus concentrate on getting the workouts down first .

then he asked me how long have i been coming to this gym
so i said about a year but been working out fora couple of years

then he said iv just had 5 years off and been back for 5 months .

man i can understand hes working on his strengh but thats not everones goal.

but wat pisses me off is when you got some fat guy like him saying you should only do low reps with high sets , then you got another guy coming up to you saying lower the weight do high reps for less sets .

i jus do what i feel works best for me but for someone who doesnt know his way around the gym that could be abit confusing .

yeah but not everybody knows that. most people, and i used to think, that if women lifted heavy weights they would look big and masculine too.

you can't blame them. i'm sure everybody here has asumptions that are not true about subjects they have no clue about!

the general public just doesn't have a clue about bodybuilding or nutrition. it's not really their fault.

I'm with you bbdude, I would like to be more passionate about my liftings, but I'm studying overseas right now, specifically in Spain, and the ****ing people who run my gym are so ****ing lazy, they're schedule is so ****ed up, from 9 to 12 and from 4 to 10.. I mean, that's okay I still have 5 hours in the afternoon to hit whenever I want, but Spaniard, apparently are HUGE on parties, they will go beyond a week without working.. I DON'T GET IT! I'm still training hard, but right now I haven't trained in a week now.. Monday, everything's back to normal, but yeah.. I wish I could change gym, but my schoolarship is ****ing miserable, I'm just eating right and trying to lift my backpack stuffed with books... But, yeah, I wish I could train as crazy as I trained in America: 6 days on 1 off, 365 days.. That's what I call being huge on fun!

[QUOTE=glutestriation;680712]... but Spaniard, apparently are HUGE on parties...QUOTE]

What kind of partying do they do in Spain where they don't work for 1 week? Just curious sounds like it would be a good place to visit :)

Some excuses I have heard and probably have used in the past :(

1.) It's too cold outside to go to the gym

2.) I don't feel like driving there

3.) I am still sore from the last w/o even though you know you are ok to go

4.) You gain mass away from the gym so you start to skip w/o's b/c you think you will gain more mass by not going to the gym all but 1-2 days that week (I have done this a few times)

I have a friend who will proudly tell anyone that he works out every day, come hell or high water. And it's true that he does in fact come in every day. And yet, he make modest, if any, gains in all areas.

Why? Two reasons.

1) He comes in for twenty to thirty minutes every day. Enough to do bench, skull crushes, and pull downs, and a little cardio before he's out.

2) He doesn't struggle. Not to say that he's not doing enough weight. He's one of those lifters that doesn't understand that the ultimate goal of a set is to bring yourself closer to failure. When his arms start to really wobble or he starts to take longer on bringing the weight back around, he stops! He just doesn't understand that it's those last two or three reps that really tear the muscle.

And why doesn't he make as large gains as others? He's already past his "initial gains" stage. He's not as well suited, genetically, as others. He's just in a slump. Excuses...

Don't get me wrong, the guy doesn't not hit it as hard as he could because he's pussing out. He just doesn't understand that the short-term goal of weight lifting is to weaken yourself so that you may in turn strengthen yourself, and is unwilling to listen to others..

i know exactly what pumpd is talkin bout. few years back we had about a dozen youngbucks juicin in our gym doin less work than 90% of the 40+ females and expecting to grow. absolutely amazing. spendin more time flexin there water logged arms in the mirror than they doin pushin steel. worthless. lol

yeah man that is classic! ive seen that since the gym in highschool when i played football. guys dont wanna train anything but arms and chest because they think there benchpress is the only thing that makes them strong. lol i got bigger doin weighted chinups than anything else, hands down. my whole body changed when i started doing that, not to mention the need to work every muscle in your body to failure atleast once a week! lol sorry if i got off subject a bit.
