I was watching some Cutler videos earlier and contemplating his rise to the top.

He was always revered as one of the top pro's when he was winning the Arnold (3x in a row I might add) and when he was sort of in Coleman's shadow.

Yet, these days he's sort of looked down upon. Even though he's reached the pinnacle of bodybuilding, he seems to have lost fans instead of gain them. More people are feeling like he's just a big orange refrigerator than an actual champion.

What do you guys think about this? Do you feel that he's been looked down upon and has sort of been pushed aside for guys like Martinez, Jackson, and Wolf? Or do you feel like he's got one more in him and he is where he is for a reason.

i just don't think his physique is aethetically pleasing to many people, he is just too blocky. But i do see where your coming from, when he kept coming second in the O, everybody wanted him to win it but now he has no-one wants him to stay at the top any more. Weird,, maybe people just felt sorry for him and wanted him to get just 1 'O'!!

yeah i think his major downfall was after his 2004 season. He just went down from there.. i meen he lost his symetry and lost the really crazy shreddedness he once had

He's looked down upon rather than embraced due to his attitude. He has an heir of cockyness about him that is noticeable in his videos and interviews. Compare him to guys like ronnie or dennis james, both who are very likeable and down to earth. Winning the O doesnt mean your gonna have a vast fan base,

winning the olympia doesnt mean ur the best! there are politics in this sport, and we know it. Attitude is really important, u need fans to love u and support u, once u lose them its hard to get them back, Yes ronnie didnt have a very pleasing body after like 2003 but its his attitude that ppl like him, or even Markus ruhl its his attitude how he treats his fan,

But i respect jay cutler for what he has achieved it takes hard work

that and everybody likes the underdog, even Arnold, with his star power that made him a film star and governor of the world's 5th largest economy, still lost fans to underdogs like lou ferrigno. Nobody watches a sports drama where the winners just keep winning over and over, they watch the ones where the little guys win in the last second. Jay Cutler is fantastic, but doesn't have the flashy personality to be a legend, a byword for the sport like some have become.

people need to stop hating on jay cutler he has earned his place at the top, i personally respect him. i also consider myself to be a fan of his. Cutler keep workin hard and just throw all the hate and mix up in your protein shake den drink it down.
