Alrite Men,

I've noticed just recently when training especially triceps my wrist has started hurting near the 'ball' where your hand joins to the wrist, as it seems to stay for a couple of days then dies down then when i train triceps again it flares up. Is there any sort of wrist support you lot would recommend and any reliable websites for me to look on. Thanks in advance.

thats the humble beginnings of tendonitis, had the exact same thing happen to me a few years back. Get some gloves that have a strap that will wrap around your wrist once or twice for support and watch how far your wrists are being bent during curls or catches. Make sure you take ibuprofen or some other inflammation reducing medication immediately after you workout to settle them down.

Breaking my wrist was the worst thing that ever happened to me looking back. It aches and I sometimes have problems with it when training. I do my best to ignore it but sometimes I really am held back by it. A good wrap usually does the trick.

yes wrap and straps are totally different. ive never seen anyone use the strapes but i was looking at them in a store the other day. actual 1 inch staps that has a loop that slips over your thumb then around your wrist a couple times then your supposed to go around the bar a couple times. im geussing your going to need a partenr to help strap up with those and they would be time consuming and i would think still put pressure on your wrists which wouldnt be good. i also saw some where on the net these gloves that have two hooks on them which would be on the palm of your hand that i think basically do the same thing but you can handel the bar yourself. im sorry i dont know to much. hope you can find something that will help. what tri exercise are you doing when you notice this?
