Hello everyone. I thought we could have some fun and discuss each others weight room pet peeves.

I hate the guy who brings a gallon of water to the gym and doesn't even drink 1/3 of it.

Another one is the guy who is tries to correct your technique when their technique is poor or they look like they have never lifted before in their life.

Anyway. I thought this would fun. Take care all.

i hate shadow boxers(people that box by themselves in the mirror, i would knock em out if i wouldnt get kicked out), people who squat not even half way,same with leg press. people who gather round a bench and just talk. people who are on the rope tricep extensions, and dont even go thru 1/3 of the motion and count em as reps. people who slam weights, toss dumbells, i could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on. . . .

I hate the people who try to give you advice, when they think they clearly know everything about the sport.
I hate when I see people train biceps continuously.
I hate when people walk around the gym acting tough, then start curling 20's.

There's more, just have to wait until I see 'em.

I have way too many to start counting, I pretty much hate 90% of the people at my gym.. but here's a few off the top of my head:

- The asshole that leaves the plates on the machines or barbells.
- The asshole that grunts curling 15 lbs.
- The asshole who tries to squat heavy ass weights and goes down 2 inches.
- The asshole who thinks proper form is for "pussies".
- The asshole who takes 4 pairs of different dumbbells to the corner.
- The asshole who's talking to his earpiece the whole workout and saying "hold on" whenever a set approaches.
- The asshole that takes 5 minutes between every set, staring at the roof going cold.
- The asshole that thinks creatine turns fat into muscle (a friend of mine, kind of).

Pretty much everything everyone here has listed, but I'd have to say the worst are the people who don't have a clue what they're doing and when you try to give them advice and help them out, they never listen and think they know it all.

Things like this makes me glad I workout at home by myself.

the dude that puts 275 on the bar for a benchpress like a badass then gets three people to spot him. 1 on each side and 1 in the middle. He paces really hard then gets under the bench arches his back like its going to break, then gets a half rep and gets his spot to lift the rest and rack it.

some are listed already

. ppl who do biceps everyday
. A guy who just started working out couple weeks, and just go and grab 60 lbs dumbbels to warm up and curls them about 5 inches and yells

. ppl that leave their 100 lbs dumbbells on the floor for the frontdesk girl to pickem up.

. a guy always talkking on cellphone even when he is doing leg press he is on the phone

. A woman that do cardio and puts the tv volume to the max and ppl go mad over there.

I shouldn't even comment, since I am such a total newbie myself. A certified Old Fart here (56) and just started a program last September 1. But I am down 33 lbs and feeling better so WTF, huh? -- ANYWAY, several nights ago I was halfway through my treadmill time at the end of the session. In comes this little herd of women, 3 actually. They puttered around a little bit but mostly chattered chattered chattered. Damn their voices were irritating. I finished my time and happily left the place.

Ieah i have alot of guys at my gym that train chest, arms and abs everyday and they were trying to give me pointers on leg workouts (the funny part about that is when it comes to legs im know around local gyms as quadra saurus rex and the quad king i set a local gym record legpress and i use only the best form when it comes to any leg workout). Also later i overheard them boasting to each other which ones had the biggest calves and out of the group the guy with 14's won lol and the sad part is he has these 17 inch balloon biceps its just aweful to see losers liek that even come to the gym to waste my time and all other serious trainers time to make himself look like a chicken legged ***

other pet peeves

the guys that leaves the dumbells everywhere

The guy that walks around the gym more than he trains

The guy that sweats all over the shit and doesent wipe after

The guys that meet up in the gym acting like its there fucking meeting hall to discuss there week

The guys who where sandals/flip flops to the gym (not intending to offend anybody thats your choice but im not 100% on it)
