I am of one opinion, and that is we shouldn't look at things that we dislike and do them ourselves. We shouldn't be hypocritical.
If a person doesnt like what you aspire to look like, its not THEIR fault. Its not yours either. You have to realize people will have differences of opinions, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Its what makes life so interesting.
But, when someone doesnt think like you do, and even expresses that it is gross to them, you shouldn't turn around and criticize them for their "imperfections" in your eyes. You are being hypocritical, and worse yet, you are talking about them behind their backs when they actually voiced their opinions up front. Then you come here to look for support, and i see the whole "yar, we lift heavy weights, we are much better then them! YAR" ideal being furthered and its kinda sickening.
Yes, lifting weights is a healthy endeavor, but realize that a pro bodybuilder puts as much stress if not more (id venture to say more) on their body than someone who doesnt lifts weights at all. |
