Hey guys.

I don't really know where to put this but I have a question regarding alcohol.
Is there any point doing a work out if you're gonna drink after it?
Isn't working out just a waste?
And how will it affect my work out the next days?

In hope for good answers.

yes... work out. with alcohol yu may not recover properly, but at least nuerologically you can make gains. also you still burn the calories, and speed up your metabolism for the time being.

yes, it will affect your next work out, depending on how much you consumed

rather.than.being.anabolic.you'd.deteriorate.your. muscle.

but.he.is.right.about.speeding.up.metabolism.for.t he.time.being...so.don't.stop.working.out.

my 2 cents is that if your takin your health serious enough to go to the gym on a regular basis and look good...why drink alcohol at all??

Pretty much i'll say this. If you aren't planning to compete any time soon, if your ok with how your looking right now, then be a human and have a few drinks. I personally wouldn't do it now, but depending on how much you drink it can lower test for a while, have some other negative sides, but for the most parts its not going to cause your muscles to degrade to the size of a school boys.

Take your break day, cheatday, whatever you'd like to call it and go have some fun.

That kinda sounds like peer pressure man. There's no reason why you have to drink. I mean once in a while it's fine, but to drink to get drunk is just pointless to me now. I hate throwing up anyways, why would I want to make myself do it?

I agree with Thomas, I think its OK if you're just having a couple drinks and you like to from time to time.. but if you start getting dizzy you're probably taking it up a notch.

And I also agree with Zack, though I don't think you meant getting drunk (I hope not.)

And Moorey, I often go out and don't drink, it's just been a while and and the birthday is really big, 3 of my friends turning 20.
