I'm probably getting my nipples pierced soon and I was just wondering if anyone else has done that! I hear it sucks, but does the pain affect workouts at all?

I dont know but I think there will be a period of time that youll suffer when doing chest exercices. Because when you stretch your muscles, the skin get tight so maybe the percing will hurt you a bit.

I personally have a HIIGGHH pain barrier and I almost past out during the piercing. My guy said his did not hurt hardly at all tho. Mine is the actual nipple, and his is more of the brown part. Not sure if that had to do with the pain difference or not.

It is VERY sore the first while. maybe monthish? Workouts weren't that bad. Chest hurt if the bar came down on them, but the worst pain is if you scrape your chest on something and it rakes over your nipple. WOW...that is some pain.

Just make sure you don't have to run for the bus the moment you get out the piercers. I looked a right twat clutching running down the street, hand over one part of my chest and wincing with every step. At least I caught the bus. Try and go to a decent piercer too. The guy that pierced my nipple did a rubbish job so I've been left with one normal nipple and one weird looking nipple. Bastard.

I'd pierce my balls before my nips though. It'd be kind of a hidden surprise that could come out if they fell out while doing a deep squat. it'd be all like "hey bitches! check out my balls!!"

Nothing wrong with nipple piercings. You could tell the piercer you lift weights, that might help them find a good placement for you. When i get piercings, i like to get them placed deeper so that there's a generous piece of skin holding it onto me, not just a little skin flap. Seconding the advice to find a reputable piercer, i'm pretty sure most of them are used to weightlifters anyway, think of all the muscled tattoo guys they get in the shop.

Also, some jewelry might be less irritable than others; ask them about a short barbell vs. a ring. Some find the ring is easier to clean, but it might move around more when your skin stretches.
