If there was a chance to win a the Olympia, which would make you famous and earn a nice bit of money through prize money and sponsorship etc, but an obstruction in the form of a job, relationship was affecting you or you had to take risks with your health or maybe go against your principles of using chemical enhancers, ( remember this is something you may have trained many years for and its your dream) What would you be prepared to sacrifice for the title?

To take the ultimate title and to be recognised as the best bodybuilder on the planet and to make some good money. Many of us guys who compete at national level do this already , so for the olympia title, anything it would take other than my relationship

im not sure. in all honesty i dont think i would sacrifice any. i mean ye the O is a big title, but for what, just so someone can come along next year and take your position, just to make you another one of the bodybuilders that nearly made it?

and the sacrifices, your job. will you get it back? how good was the job? was it worth sacrificing that just so you can hold the Sandow. definately wouldnt sacrifice a relationship and family though. Bodybuilding is imo, a hobby, something that i enjoy doing when i have time. work and relationships are something that you go through whether you enjoy bodybuilding or not

If I decided that my goal was to be Mr. O then I would sacrifice it all. Although I dont think most people would have to sacrifice their family. I know my family would be supportive and do their part in helping to reach that goal.

I think that the reason people give up so much isnt because of the money or fame but rather the drive to be the best at what you do. Personally money and fame wouldnt motivate me but the chance to be #1 would.

It depends what means more to you. I wouldn't feel the need to sacrifice anything. Everything can be worked out, everything has a resolution. It just may not seem like it at the time. If you're entering the Mr.O I think it would be pretty obvious no matter where you, that this means a lot you. I think we all would do everything in our power to be on stage at the Mr. O, but sometimes things get rough and you'll need to sacrifice those things. I'd take some time off at my job, while talking things over to my family and friends.
