Alright I have not been lifting now for about 2 months due to my shoulder injury in my rotator cuff. within the next month i am hoping to began lifting again with my doctors approval and when i come back i want to have my work out schedule planned again. But heres the thing I know I am going to be set back alot from the amount i have recently been lifting. Does anyone know where i should begin. Someone once told me if your coming back after not lifting for a long time start off small and each week work your way up and it should come quickly to what you were doing. Ex. I was benching 185 what should i begin wiht now? any advice

Your Doctor should prescribe Physical Therapy for you. They should put you on a training routine. Follow that, your pain threshold is very very small and your have scar tissue that needs to heal..

When I hurt my shoulder they had me strengthen myself with resistance bands before i could go back. And the doctor prescribed physical therapy before i could even go to the weight room. But when i went back I started off really light just to make sure but i was back to full power in about 3 months. Just dont jump right back into it and make sure your 100% before you do anything as you don't want to re injure yourself. Hope that helps

Good you need to follow that, your therapist will determine when and how much you progress. This is dependant on your Range of Motion, your pain threshold and other factors the dr. considers as he/s evaluates you.

Try not to rush into more weight to fast, you will re-injure your body that way.

You can and have the right to ask your therapist if it's ok to go and do more or go heavier.
