Greetings guys...

I was working out today, doing my shoulders when I sprained my neck.
Wondering if there any tips on how to speed up the recovery since it's a
major obstacle when it comes to doing exercises.

In hope for good response - viking out.

What exercise caused you to sprain your neck?

Don't know what it's called but you sit with two handles at your sides, they're supposed to be at the top of the shoulders and you push it up, hope that explanation is good enough ;P

military press machine? The neck is one of thoes dangerous areas, dont mess around with it. Take some time off. Put some heat on it and if its still bothering you seek a doctor

Right after I got out of the gym I went to a store and bought a heat bag, I'm now sitting in the computer chair with the bag around my neck, trying to get it good asap. : )

Don't rush it mate, if you rush it don't let it heal properly you could damage it again and miss out on even more training time, and we don't want that for ya

Yeah you really wanna get that checked out. I've noticed a lot of people like to bend their necks and like stress their necks out when doing military presses in general. You'll pull a muscle pretty easily there. You have to be careful. You also definitely don't wanna hurt a deeper neck muscle like your splenius or your semispinalis. If you hurt those, ur not gonna be able to move your neck period
