this question comes into my mind! ive been bodybuilding for a year now, and i love it, eat 7 meals a day, keeping track of everything, eating healthy, Lifting , sleeping 8 hrs a day. I have got a lot more organized in school too since i started. But my parents, relatives, ask me this question "whats going to happen after all this" specially my parents, they are the ones always say your not gonna get anywhere, whats the point of doing this? " pro bodybuilders are not healthy inside" all this stuff i hear everyday in the house. but they are kind of happy that i go to gym and workout. i tell them i love doing this. but for them its very hard to understand.

so i ask this from you guys.

if someone asks you why are bodybuilding? how would you answer them?

Because i enjoy doing it. I love working out and dieting, it gives me a sense of power and self confidence. Anyone can go out drinking in the streets or play the xbox allday but not everyone can bodybuild.

Ive always loved sports, but in a basketball game you have to rely on 4 other people for sucess and victory. In bodybuilding it's personal achievments. Every day i go to the gym, I'm the one pushing myself, I'm the only one who can decide if i succeed or fail. And that feeling of personal triumph every time I hit a new max or have a really good workout is the best feeling you can have in my opinion. Thats why I do it.

Just to feel big and healthy, also it's great when people compliment you and you're being looked at. Guess I got some kind of symptoms from Bigorexia. ^^

The biggest reason is I have a successful business and am am responsible for many lives and incomes, most especially my families. Without my health there is no way I can provide this. Bodybuilding or exercising and weightlifiting and eating right in general is my way of staying healthy and therefore knowing that I can provide even better for my family by staying healthy. Sometimes I hate working out but its something that I have the drive to do from being a former athlete and from the drive to be able to stay healthy to provide for my family and my employees.

Simply, I like to accustom myself to certain lifestyles. Especially one that makes you feel better about yourself, results in respect and requires dedication.

It's more than a lifestyle for me now. It's who I am.
